Based in Dubai for the past 11 years, I’ve been working as a freelance consultant for five. Passionate about PR, entrepreneurship, and inspiring success stories, I love connecting people and creating meaningful collaborations. Becoming a mum four years ago has been a transformative journey, full of daily learnings and challenges. Balancing projects and motherhood isn’t easy, but it’s deeply rewarding when I manage to meet both my clients’ goals and my own. Being a freelance mum is tough — but incredibly fulfilling!
1. What’s one thing you wish you’d known before becoming a parent?
How powerful and unconditional the love you give — and receive — truly is, every single day.
2. What’s something you swore you’d never do as a parent—but do now?
Shouting and allowing screen at home ahahah
3. What was the BEST piece of parenting advice you’ve received?
From my mum: be strong for your kids and your kids will thank you.
4. Share with us your biggest “parenting fail” – we promise no judgement here!
Screen !! I am trying to maintain zero screening at home but this is so complicated especially during the weekend and holiday. Screen is forbidden during weekdays, allowed 1 day during the weekend and allowed during holiday.
5. How do you balance life?
After Lucas was born, it took us some time to find our rhythm and new family routine — but I’d say we’re finally getting there! I make sure to be home every morning to get the kids ready and share breakfast with them, and every evening for bath time, dinner, and a bedtime story.
It’s not always easy to find time for the kids, for myself, and for us as a couple — but we do our best. The kids come first, and, well… we come after (laughs!).
Me time: I carve it out through workouts two to three times a week. I also need to read a few pages every night before sleeping — it’s my daily escape, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Couple time: That’s a bit more of a challenge (laughs!), but we try to go out once a month for dinner, the cinema, or the theatre — just to breathe together and remember who we were before becoming “mummy and daddy.”
6. One parenting hack you’d like to share with us.
Being a mum with rules and a clown at the same time. It helps (laughs!).
7. What do you hope your kids say about you when they’re older?
I hope my kids will say that I was always there for them — truly present every single day, through the good moments and the challenging ones. That I guided them with kindness, love, and patience, helping them grow into confident, caring, and independent individuals.
I hope they’ll remember me not just as their mum, but as someone who believed in them unconditionally and encouraged them to follow their dreams.
8. 3 words that describe #MumLife to you
WONDERFUL – MAGICAL – EXHAUSTING
