A DUBAI Dental Clinic Built for Kids, Designed by a Mother Who Understands the Fear

Sunshine Land Pediatric Dentistry has opened in Jumeirah, Dubai, built around a simple idea: children should feel safe and understood before treatment even starts.

Founded by Specialist Pediatric Dentist Dr. Yasmin Kottait, the clinic is purpose-built for children - including those with dental anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or additional support needs - rather than a traditional clinic softened for younger patients.

Four themed treatment rooms - Bon-Bon, Katty, Rory and Coco - plus a dedicated sensory room, anchor the experience. The characters aren't just décor; each teaches one of four healthy-mouth habits: brushing, flossing, regular check-ups and good food choices.

"I built this as a dentist, but I understand it as a mother," says Dr. Yasmin, who has a toddler and two step-teenagers. "I know firsthand how scary dentistry can be for little ones, for parents standing beside them, and especially for families navigating special needs."

Services span children's dentistry, special needs care, nitrous oxide sedation, airway dentistry, early orthodontics, myofunctional therapy, tongue-tie release and dental hypnosis, supported by gentler technology including digital impressions and computer-controlled anaesthesia delivery.

With over 20 years' experience and a psychology background, Dr. Yasmin has built her third clinic from the ground up - this time centring emotional readiness as much as clinical care.
